Combination boilers heat the water when the hot water tap is turned on. There is no hot water cylinder as the heated water goes straight from the boiler to the tap.

However a condensing boiler uses the heat trapped in the condensation that used to go out of the flue as steam vapour. By condensing this hot moisture, the hot condensed liquid is used to help heat the water passing through the boiler. This makes the boiler more energy efficient. By law, all new boilers must be condensing boilers.

A condensing boiler can also be known as a condensing conventional boiler. That means it is a modern condensing boiler that supplies a conventional heating system with a hot water cylinder.

The insurance covers the cost of replacing any of the parts following a breakdown, including associated labour and callout charges, subject to a maximum of £1,500 per year. This ensures that any repairs that are economically viable to carry out are covered by the insurance. There is no limit to the number of claims per year you can make within the £1,500 claim limit.

This covers your boiler and essential controls and components outside the boiler. We offer several types of cover, details below, with payment options to suit you.
